Heat, battery, and food-use safety notes
- Read the received sealer, battery, bag-material, heat, food-contact, cleaning, and warning instructions before first use. Do not rely on claims of airtightness, freshness, or preservation.
- Insert compatible AA batteries with correct polarity. Do not mix old and new batteries, different chemistries, damaged cells, or rechargeable cells unless expressly permitted. Remove batteries for long storage or if leakage occurs.
- Keep batteries and the device dry. Do not open, short, crush, puncture, heat, burn, recharge non-rechargeable cells, or place batteries near flames. Stop use for swelling, leakage, corrosion, smoke, unusual heat, or odour.
- The heating head and recently sealed bag may be hot. Do not touch the heating element, press it against skin, leave it on a surface, or place hot material near plastic, paper, fabric, food, children, pets, or combustible items.
- Use on a stable, dry, non-flammable, well-ventilated surface. Keep hair, clothing, cords, packaging, oils, aerosols, gas, and flammable liquids away from the heated area. Do not use near an open flame or while distracted.
- Test a small section of the actual bag first. Use only the temperature, speed, pressure, and sealing method stated in the received instructions. Stop if the bag melts excessively, smokes, smells strongly, burns, tears, or fails to seal.
- Do not seal boiling, hot, carbonated, fermenting, pressure-building, leaking, wet, oily, or contaminated contents. Leave appropriate headspace and do not create a sealed pressure vessel.
- A sealed bag is not sterile, tamper-proof, leak-proof, airtight in every condition, bacteria-proof, or a replacement for refrigeration, expiry dates, safe food handling, or suitable food containers. Inspect each seal before storage and transport.
- Use only on packaging intended for food contact and compatible with heat. Do not heat or seal chemicals, medicines, fuel, solvents, pesticides, unknown substances, or non-food hazardous material.
- Keep the heated head away from food, loose crumbs, liquid, grease, foil edges, and residue. Do not immerse the device or allow moisture into the heating slot, switch, battery compartment, magnet, or seams.
- Switch off and allow the device to cool fully before cleaning, moving, storing, or replacing batteries. Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth only if permitted; do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, boiling water, or spray.
- Inspect before each use for cracked plastic, exposed heating parts, loose switch, damaged battery cover, corrosion, blocked slot, frayed material, or unusual heat. Stop use and remove batteries safely if damaged.
- Keep children and pets away from the sealer, hot head, sealed bags, batteries, magnets, packaging, and food. These may present burn, fire, electrical, ingestion, choking, magnet, and entanglement hazards. This is not a toy.
- Store switched off, fully cool, clean, dry, and with batteries removed if directed, away from heat, sunlight, water, chemicals, food, children, and pets. Dispose of batteries and electronic/plastic parts through local recycling and e-waste guidance.
