Tool, wheel, and safety notes
- Confirm shaft diameter, chuck/collet fit, wheel dimensions, tool instructions, wheel rating, guard requirements, and maximum speed before use. Do not assume compatibility with every rotary tool or grinder.
- Disconnect power or remove the battery before changing a wheel or adjusting the tool. Insert the shaft fully, tighten correctly, and check that the wheel runs true without wobble, cracks, chips, looseness, or deformation.
- Use the manufacturer-approved guard where required. Secure the workpiece and wear suitable eye and face protection, hearing protection, gloves appropriate to the task, and respiratory protection where dust may occur.
- Start at a low compatible speed with light, controlled pressure. Avoid side loading, jamming, forcing, sudden contact, and prolonged contact that can create heat, kickback, sparks, or wheel breakage.
- Test on scrap or an inconspicuous area first. Grinding may remove material, alter dimensions, create grooves or scratches, damage coatings, change colour, or affect the workpiece.
- Do not assume the set removes burrs, shapes edges, polishes, or creates a particular finish on every material. Use an abrasive rated for the exact task.
- Grinding can generate dust, sparks, hot fragments, and sharp edges. Keep flammable liquids, fuel, gas, chemicals, wood dust, and ignition-sensitive materials away from the work area.
- Stop if the wheel vibrates, binds, overheats, chips, cracks, smokes, sparks unexpectedly, or produces unusual noise or odour. Switch off, isolate the tool, and allow components to cool before inspection.
- Do not use on skin, teeth, food, medical devices, live electrical parts, or applications requiring certified abrasive or machine-guarding equipment.
- Keep the wheels dry and supported away from moisture, direct heat, bending, chemicals, children, and pets. Do not drop or strike the stones.
- Inspect the abrasive surface, mount, and shaft before each use. Replace worn, cracked, chipped, contaminated, or unbalanced wheels and dispose of debris according to local waste guidance.
