Description
This Wagtail set contains wool-felt polishing pads in large-cylinder, small-cylinder, and bullet shapes, together with a metal shank as listed or shown. It is intended for selected polishing or buffing tasks on compatible materials after checking the rotary tool, shank, pad, compound, workpiece, speed, and surface. A uniform or mirror finish is not guaranteed.

Tool, surface, and safety notes
- Confirm the metal shank diameter, chuck range, pad attachment, tool rating, rotation direction, guard requirements, and maximum permitted speed before fitting. Do not use if the shank is loose, bent, damaged, or incompatible.
- Secure the workpiece and keep fingers, hair, jewellery, loose clothing, cables, and the pad clear of the rotating tool. Do not hold small or fragile items in the hand while polishing.
- Start at a low speed with light pressure and short passes. Do not exceed the pad, compound, shank, or rotary-tool rating. Excessive speed or pressure can heat, tear, shed fibres, throw the workpiece, or damage the surface.
- Wear eye protection and suitable respiratory protection for dust, compound, fibres, or particles. Use ventilation and follow the tool and compound manufacturer’s safety instructions.
- Keep sparks, heat, dust, wool fibres, and compound away from eyes, skin, food, electronics, flammables, open flames, batteries, and sensitive components. Do not use near oxygen-enriched or hazardous environments.
- Test the pad and compound on an inconspicuous area first, especially on plated, coated, painted, soft, precious, glossy, glass, ceramic, or delicate surfaces. Check for scratches, haze, residue, colour transfer, heat marks, fibre transfer, and edge catch.
- Use a compound compatible with the workpiece and pad. Apply only a small amount; excess compound may splatter, contaminate surfaces, or affect grip and heat.
- Do not use for medical equipment, dental work, skin or nail treatment, food-contact preparation, cutting, grinding, drilling, material removal, or any safety-critical application.
- Pause regularly to check temperature and pad condition. Stop if the workpiece, pad, shank, tool, or compound becomes unusually hot, smoky, odorous, unstable, or damaged.
- Inspect before each use for loose fibres, tears, hard spots, contamination, cracks, distortion, worn attachment, and shank damage. Replace pads or stop using the set if fibres shed excessively or attachment is uncertain.
- Clean by allowing the pad to stop and cool, then gently removing residue with a suitable dry brush or cloth. Do not soak wool felt, use harsh solvents, wash in a machine, or contaminate food or cosmetic tools.
- Store pads and shank clean, dry, cool, separated from sharp tools and chemicals, and protected from dust, moisture, pests, pressure, and heat. Keep compounds in their original containers.
- Keep away from children and pets; rotating accessories, loose fibres, metal shank, compounds, dust, packaging, and small parts may present eye, respiratory, cut, ingestion, choking, and entanglement hazards.
- Pad composition, fibre density, shank fit, speed rating, heat tolerance, compound compatibility, surface finish, durability, and service life vary; no mirror-finish, premium, precision, effortless, universal, durable, all-material, medical-equipment, or guaranteed-result claim is made.
