Application, curing and safety guidance

- Remove loose material and clean the joint. Ensure the surface is dry, free of dust, grease, soap residue, mould, oil and old sealant as instructed; do not seal trapped moisture or active leaks.
- Test adhesion and colour on a small concealed area. Do not apply over unstable, crumbling, contaminated, wet or moving surfaces without appropriate preparation.
- Wear suitable gloves and eye protection. Work in well-ventilated areas, avoid breathing vapour, keep the product away from skin, eyes, food, drinking water and open flames, and wash exposed skin promptly.
- Do not use on food-contact surfaces, drinking-water interiors, medical devices, children’s items, aquariums, electrical components, gas lines, load-bearing joints or surfaces requiring a certified fire, structural or sanitary seal unless expressly approved.
- Apply a controlled bead and smooth with the recommended tool. Do not overfill, spread with bare fingers, or use more product than the substrate and instructions allow.
- Keep the area free from water, dust, touch, vibration, traffic and cleaning until the received curing instructions are satisfied. The source mentions touch-dry within a few hours and full cure commonly around 24–48 hours depending on conditions; verify the exact product before wet use.
- Do not assume cured sealant is waterproof, mould-proof, mildew-proof, chemical-resistant, UV-resistant, weatherproof or suitable for pressure, immersion or repeated movement. Confirm the required performance from the technical label.
- While wet, remove excess only by the method approved on the label. Once cured, removal may require a scraper or sealant remover; protect tiles, skin, fixtures and nearby finishes.
- Do not mix with other sealants, cleaners, solvents or chemicals. Do not heat, burn, puncture, cut, refill, transfer or modify the tube.
- Keep children, pets and unprotected people away during application and curing. Do not leave the open tube, nozzle, residue, scraper or contaminated cloth unattended.
- Store sealed in a cool, dry, ventilated place away from heat, sunlight, flames, moisture, food, medicines, children and pets. Protect the nozzle from hardening as instructed.
- Dispose of the tube, nozzle, gloves, cloths and cured or uncured residue according to the product label and local waste rules. Do not wash uncured sealant into drains.
- Inspect the finished joint after curing for gaps, cracking, lifting, shrinkage, discolouration, odour, soft spots, water ingress or adhesion failure. Stop use and seek qualified help if the repair fails or if a leak affects electrical, structural or sanitary systems.
